Rupert Boneham

Boneham is a community organizer and founder of the mentoring program Rupert’s Kids, which provides mentoring and educational programming to at-risk Indianapolis youth. He also created the Park Adoption Program, which provides a work project for young people in his mentoring proram. He also owns production company Tournament Towers. Boneham previously worked with young offenders in the court system. He was also a contestant, and prize-winner for fan favorite, on the reality show Survivor.

Mike Pence

Pence is a native of Columbus, Indiana. He graduated from Hanover College in 1981 with a degree in American History and earned a degree in law from Indiana University School of Law in 1986. He is a former president of the Indiana Policy Review Foundation. Pence started a statewide radio show broadcast on Network Indiana from 1994 to 1999. From 1995 to 1999, Pence hosted a Sunday morning television show. Pence was elected to the US House of Representatives in 2000 and served six terms. He served as House Republican Conference Chairman, Chairman of the House Republican Study Committee, on the House Agriculture and Small Business committee. He served on the House Judiciary Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Constitution, and on the Foreign Affairs Committee where he is the Vice-Chairman on the Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia.

Matt Ubelhor

Ubelhor has worked in the mining industry for 35 years, including 22 years in his current position at Peabody Energy. His professional training includes courses in human resources, public relations, environmental science and finance.

Randy Barrett

Barrett is a former teacher, coach, public school administrator and superintendent. He served six years on the Indiana High School Athletic Association Board as Educational Consultant. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Education with Bachelors of Science in 1971 and Masters of Science in 1976. He received an Educational Specialist Degree from Indiana State in Indiana State University in 2000.

John Crane

Crane is a managing partner in structural engineering firm BFW Crane, Inc. He is a registered professional structural engineer. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1990.

David Sabbagh

Sabbagh is a former professor of mathematics and computer science and has taught at Bowling Green State University, Purdue University, Indiana University and Ivy Tech Bloomington. He is co-owner of Sabbagh Associates, a small technology company, and served 12 years on the Bloomington City Council. He has been a member of the board of the Cardinal Stage Company and Friends of Music at the Jacobs School of Music and a member and former president on the board of the Monroe County YMCA.

Tony Bennett

Bennett is a former high school teacher, coach and principal. He is Indiana’s current Superintendent for Public Instruction. He received his doctorate degree in education and his Superintendent license from Spalding University and received his Certification in Secondary Administration and Supervision, Master of Science in Secondary Education, and Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education form Indiana University Southeast.

Mitt Romney

Romney, 65, was governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007, presiding over a legislature dominated by Democratic representatives. The unemployment rate in Massachusetts fell from 5.6% to 4.7% during his tenure. Before serving in government, Romney was a business leader. He was CEO of consulting firm Bain & Company and founded and led Bain Capital, a private investment firm specializing in launching and salvaging businesses. Romney was chief executive of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Shelli Yoder

Yoder worked in nonprofit executive management and with businesses for 20 years, focusing primarily on helping those in need gain access to physical and mental-health services and educational opportunities. She continued this work as Miss Indiana in 1992. She was also the assistant director for professional development at Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business in Bloomington. She earned her master’s degree in counseling and human services from IU-South bend and has a master’s of divinity from Vanderbilt University Divinity School.

John Gregg

John Gregg, born Sept. 6, 1954, is the Democratic Candidate for governor. He’s currently works for Bingham Greenebaum Dole law firm.He earned his BA from Indiana University in 1976 and his MPA from Indiana State University in 1978. He also graduated from the IU School of Law in Indianapolis in 1984. He worked at Amax Coal in the early 80’s and then served Indiana as a state representative from 1986-2002. From 1996-2002, Gregg was the Indiana Speaker of the House. He also was the interim president of Vincennes University from 2003-2004.

Larry Barker

Barker is currently the Executive Director of the Monroe County Solid Waste Management District. Barker served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army. His military career spanned 28 years.

Sparks is currently the principal at Linton Stockton Junior High School. He graduated from Purdue University studying vocational agriculture and has pursued advanced degrees from Indiana Wesleyan University and Indiana State University.

A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Young also received a master’s degree in business from the University of Chicago and University of London and a law degree from IUPUI.Young served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, a legislative aide in the U.S. Senate, a management consultant at Crowe Horvath, and an attorney at Tucker & Tucker.

Glenda Ritz

Democratic candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction.Currently the library media specialist at Crooked Creek Elementary School in the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township in Indianapolis. Ritz attended Ball State University studying education. She received her masters from Ball State and a second masters from IU-PUI in library science. Ritz is a National Board certified teacher and a Golden Apple Award winner. She also has served as president of the Washington Township Education Association. In total, she has 33 years of classroom experience.

Kay Fleming

Fleming is currently the president and partner at Fleming Stage, her own legal firm.She graduated Cum Laude with a BS from Indiana State University-Evansville. Later, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the IU School of Law in Indianapolis.

Donovan Walling

Walling earned a BS in education from Kansas State Teachers College in 1970 and a masters in curriculum and instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1975.

Matt Pierce

Marc Kellams

Kellams received his bachelor of arts in religious studies from IU and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the IU Maurer School of Law. Kellams has been judge of the circuit court since 1981 and has served as an adjunct assistant professor of law at Maurer since 1983.

Dave Nakarado

Nakarado received a bachelor of science from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Mich., where he studied education and psychology. He has previously worked as a prison guard and recreation director at a maximum security prison and has worked in the business and real estate sector.
