State Representative District 62 Candidate (Incumbent)

Ubelhor has worked in the mining industry for 35 years, including 22 years as Operation Manager with Peabody Energy. His professional training includes courses in human resources, public relations, environmental science and finance.

“My focus and priority is on jobs and training. Having hired and trained many employees throughout my career, this is where it all begins. We must have a workforce that is ready to compete in the new job market. This training starts at an early age and continues through life.

It is also important that our employers are well positioned in a favorable business environment that allows them to compete not only in the state or region but also in the world market. I also have special interest in farm life and issues having grown up on the family farm and still am a farm owner.

It is critical that we get these issues right to provide the necessary jobs. This in turn will provide the necessary revenue to the state to fund our schools and provide the promise given to our seniors and folks with special needs.”
