Dave Nakarado

County Commissioner, District 3 Candidate

Nakarado received a bachelor of science from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Mich., where he studied education and psychology.

He has previously worked as a prison guard and recreation director at a maximum security prison and has worked in the business and real estate sector. Nakarado is currently the owner of Indiana Dave Real Estate.

“The passing of the Comprehensive Plan is the reason I decided to run for County Commissioner.

“After attending the majority of meetings concerning the Comprehensive Plan I could not sit on the sidelines and complain about government officials and do nothing.

“My opponent Iris Keisling voted yes to adopt the last version of the plan. In my opinion, it is too restrictive and disregards property owner’s rights for no justifiable reason.

“Too many ordinances, policies and regulations hide behind weak statements which contend it is for health and safety reasons.”
