Mark Stoops

Indiana Senate, District 40 Candidate

Stoops is a current Monroe County Commissioner and has also served eight years on the Monroe County Council.

If elected, Stoops would aim to restore funding for the public education system and stop the privatization of public schools, enabling the hiring of more teachers to reduce class sizes. He wants to bring jobs to the state by reducing outsourcing and support small businesses through a targeted micro-loan program. In working with the new Affordable Care Act, Stoops wants to make sure the proper systems are in place to increase Medicare coverage and access to healthcare for low-income residents.
