Indiana House of Representatives, District 46 Candidate
Barker is currently the Executive Director of the Monroe County Solid Waste Management District.
Barker served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army. His military career spanned 28 years.
He wants to create green jobs that are sustainable, highly skilled and good paying in Southern Indiana. To help combat "brain drain" in Indiana, Barker wants to bring more jobs to southern Indiana to entice students to stay in the area. Through his experience in waste management, Barker said he's seen the troubling state of the environment. If elected, he said he'll make sound and reasonable environmental decisions a cornerstone of the Indiana Statehouse.
