IU loses in 10 to Jacksonville State

IU lost a tough one to Jacksonville State, which seemed eerily similar to past Hoosier loses.The Hoosiers posted 13 hits to Jacksonville State's 6, yet came up short in its 9-8 loss. Many players performed valiantly in the defeat.

Three quotes of note

After the final game of the 08-09 campaign the entire IU roster was available to the media. I talked with freshmen Nick Williams, Tom Pritchard and junior Devan Dumes - three of the more candid players on the roster about when they thought what this season really meant to them would truly sink in. Dumes: "It could be a long time from now, it could be tomorrow I don't know," Dumes said before giving his outlook on the future.

IU takes off to another tournament

Hi all, Just stopping by to keep you informed on what IU will be doing over the break. In its spring trip, the Hoosiers will partake in another tournament -- once again heading down south. The Hoosiers will take on a total of eight teams over break, which include schools like Bowling Green and Eastern Illinois.

IU falls to Kentucky, 8-7

With IU junior Josh Phegley up to bat, IU was the perfect position for it to make a come back. Phegley worked Kentucky pitcher Logan Darnell up to full count and hit a single to left field, sending outfielder Evan Crawford home.

Live blog: Penn State 66, IU 51 (Final)

One of the longest, strangest seasons in IU men's basketball history came to an end Thursday night. The Hoosiers (6-25) fell to Penn State in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament, 66-51.

IU to face Kentucky

IU will face Kentucky today at 4 p.m. In fact, they're playing right now. The Hoosiers are coming off of two wins and a 18-3 thrashing of Morehead State.

Prepping for the Tournament: Lions and Forde and Dumes, oh my

Hey folks, The witching hour of this IU basketball season is almost upon us. After five months of wins, losses and every conceivable "help is on the way reference" the Big Ten Network could muster, the 2008-2009 season has come down to a four-day weekend in Indianapolis. It's obviously likely the Hoosiers won't get far in the tournament, given their 1-17 mark in-conference.

Hoosiers dominate Morehead State 18-3

IU coach Tracy Smith has been looking for a breakout game for a while now. He got it Tuesday afternoon after the Hoosiers defeated Morehead State 18-3. Junior pitcher Chris Squires pitched six complete innings, giving up only five hits and three earned runs. In terms of hitting, the Hoosiers had their best game of the season.

Inside IU Basketball with Coach Jack

On Monday night IU Coach Felisha Legette-Jack had her regular radio show with Jeremy Gray. Here are a few tidbits from the show. -Jack said she enjoyed having Tom Crean at the game against Michigan and that he talked to the team after their victory in the Big Ten Tournament. -Jack said the locker room after the Purdue game was something she didn't want to go through again.

IU beats Le Moyne, 8-3

Hi all, After four consecutive losses, IU was able to pull out a win in its final game at the Eagle Invitational. Blake Monar (2-0) led the Hoosiers to a 8-3 win to end the weekend.
