IU coach Tracy Smith has been looking for a breakout game for a while now. He got it Tuesday afternoon after the Hoosiers defeated Morehead State 18-3.

Junior pitcher Chris Squires pitched six complete innings, giving up only five hits and three earned runs.

In terms of hitting, the Hoosiers had their best game of the season. Every member of the team recorded a hit and seven different players had a home run. Junior catcher Josh Phegley hit three home runs alone and junior shortstop Jake Dunning had a grand slam in the 1st inning. In the end, IU had 22 total hits on the Eagle pitchers.

The Hoosiers return to action 4 p.m. tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Lexington, Ky. to face the Kentucky Wildcats.
