One of the longest, strangest seasons in IU men's basketball history came to an end Thursday night.

The Hoosiers (6-25) fell to Penn State in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament, 66-51. IU trailed by 13 at the half and was unable to ever make the game close, trailing by as many as 25 at one point.

Freshman guard Verdell Jones scored a game-high 23 points in the losing effort. The Hoosiers committed 15 turnovers and shot just 36.7 percent from the field.
