Smith suspended indefinitely

Yeagley accepts Wisconsin head coaching job

IU assistant coach Todd Yeagley has officially accepted the head coaching position, Wisconsin announced today. Yeagley, named one of the top 12 assistant coaches earlier this year by College Soccer News, has two national titles, in 2003 and 2004, on his coaching resume.

A tribute to Northwestern Coach Joe McKeown

The Hoosiers will take on Northwestern on Saturday in their Big Ten opener. Roaming the sidelines for the Wildcats will be one of the top women's coaches in history: Joe McKeown (pronounced Mick-Q-ann). Although this is McKeown's first year at NU he is a very seasoned coach, and deserves a mention on the blog.

Gordon: Drugs ruined the Hoosiers

In an interview with the Indy Star, former IU guard Eric Gordon said drug use put a rift between the Hoosier players and derailed the team last season. While drug use often came up in the rumor mill last season, this is the first time anyone connected with the program has spoken out.

Chaplin Injury Update

Went to practice today and learned some more information about the injury. Still don't know the exact specifics about the injury, but when i do you will be the first to know...Here is a story i have written about the injury. Also stay tuned for tomorrow's preview of the Big Ten opener against Northwestern. Freshman forward Sasha Chaplin will be out for the remainder of the season, according to an IU release on Wednesday. IU coach Felisha Legette-Jack said it's going to hard since Chaplin was a big part of what the team was trying to accomplish. "Its tough seeing someone with that ability not be a part of what we are trying to do, and was such a focal point of what we were trying to do," Legette-Jack said.
