In an interview with the Indy Star, former IU guard Eric Gordon said drug use put a rift between the Hoosier players and derailed the team last season.
While drug use often came up in the rumor mill last season, this is the first time anyone connected with the program has spoken out. Gordon said drugs separated the team.

"It was really tough for us to be around each other all the time off the court because we were so separate," he said.
In the interview, Gordon said former IU coach Kelvin Sampson tried to stop the drug abuse, but "was just so focused on basketball and winning and everything."
"Sometimes it felt like it wasn't even a real basketball team because of all the turmoil that went on," Gordon said. "I was just thinking about that the other day. It was so crazy that all that stuff threw off a good season and made it a waste, basically.
For the rest of the interview, click here. On Friday, I'm going to Indianapolis to cover the Pacers/Clippers game and Gordon's pro debut in his hometown.
Many of you readers may or may not have suspected drug use on last year's team, but what do you think of Gordon's comments? Does this explain things? Are you left wanting to know more? Do you wish he hadn't said anything? Let me know what you think.
