Just got this release from IU. It appears the injury to Freshman forward Sasha Chaplin that she suffered on Dec. 9 against Butler was pretty severe. The release says it was a knee injury, i will try to find out more at practice today.
Chaplin will undergo surgery before the end of this month ...
This is quite a blow to the team, as Chaplin was playing fairly well before the injury. This will mean fellow freshman Lindsay Enterline could see more minutes as she is the next semi-post player for IU. Another freshman, Danilsa Andujar will see more time as well. I think Enterline and Andujar will fill in well, but the team will still suffer a bit without the presence of Chaplin.
What do you think this will mean for the Hoosiers? Do you think not having Chaplin will hurt them much this season?
