Half opened up as both teams went on runs. Northwestern came up with a 5-0 run to cut the lead to seven. The Hoosiers answered with a 7-0 run of their own. Jackson with five points in this span and now has 12 points in the game.
IU 49, NW 43 - 11:34 left
Two big blocks from the 6-5 A. Jaschke leads to four Wildcat baskets to cut the Hoosiers lead to eight. Jackson adds a bucket inside to stop the Wildcats miny run. Two free throws by Orbit of the Wildcats cuts the Hoosiers lead to again. Orbit misses an break away lay-up the would've cut the lead to six. A. Jaschke is making he presents felt with five blocks, four of them coming thus far in the second half.
IU 62, NW 47 - 7:44 left
A quick 30 second timeout is called by IU coach Felisha Legette-Jack after the Wildcats cut the Hoosiers lead to six. After the timeout, a Thomas jump shot and a Roberson lay-up put the Hoosiers lead back to 10. After a Mocchi lay up to cut the Hoosiers lead back to six, Braun hits her third triple of the game making the lead 56-47. The Hoosiers will be shooting free throws the rest of the game as they are in the bonus.
IU 73, NW 52 - 3:58 left
The Wild Child, Ashlee Mells, dazzles with a nice assist to Jackson who completes the three point play to make the Hoosiers lead 18. Braun's free throws put all five IU starters in double figures. Enterline's put back with 4:31 left was IU's first bench points of the game.
FINAL - IU 81, NW 57
Hoosiers (8-2, 1-0) win their seventh straight, while placing all five starters in double figures. Thomas led all scores with 20 points. Jackson finished with 17, Roberson 13, Braun 11and Davis with 10.
