The Huskies of Northeastern come to Bloomington Monday night, here's a quick look at the team trying to knock IU below .500 for the first time this season:

- In case anyone is curious, Northeastern is in Boston. Unlike the deceptive Northwestern State, who came all the way from Louisiana. (How could a team that far in the South have a 'North' in their school name?)

- Currently the Huskies sit at 5-4 after a 14-17 campaign last season. Northeastern will come in riding a two game winning streak, both 'w's' from the road, the latter of which came at Harvard. One victory of signifigance is they took down IUPUI by 13 on a neutral court. The Hoosiers only were able to beat IUPUI by three points earlier in the season at Assembly Hall.

- Leading the way for Northeastern will be junior guard/forward Matt Janning. The 6-4 Janning averages 16.2 points per game and 1.6 steals per game.

- Looking at the numbers Northeastern would appear to be a premiter oriented team. Nobody on the squad averages five rebounds per game or more, and nobody on the team averages more than one block per game.

Looking purely at the makeup of this team it seems like they have the roster of teams IU has faired better against. But they did handle IUPUI a little easier than IU did. Has anyone seen Northeastern in action this season? If so, any thoughts?
