Falcons’ Vick tests positive for marijuana, judge imposes restrictions

A federal judge placed tighter restrictions Wednesday on Michael Vick after the Atlanta Falcons quarterback tested positive for marijuana. Because of the result, U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson placed special conditions on Vick’s release, including restricting him to his home between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. with electronic monitoring and ordering him to submit to random drug testing.

Vandals attack animals at petting zoo

While changing the water for her peacocks last week, petting zoo owner Rena Kirk received an unpleasant surprise. She discovered one of her peacock’s legs floating in the poultry waterer.

Campus- wide alert system chosen

IU announced Wednesday it has chosen the Connect-ED communication service by NTI Group Inc. to provide an alert system capable of reaching faculty, students and staff on all eight IU campuses within minutes, according to an IU press release.
