Yogi Ferrell and Evan Daniels of Scout.com talk Signing Day

Caught up with 2012 IU commit Yogi Ferrell yesterday on his thoughts about making his college choice official by signing his letter of intent Wednesday. Also Scout.com's Evan Daniels broke down each IU commit expected to sign letter of intents. National Signing Day begins tomorrow

The following recruits are supposed to sign to IU men's basketball Class of 2012 tomorrow: Hanner Perea of LaLumiere (La Porte, Ind.) will sign his letter of intent at 9:30 a.m. Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell of Park Tudor High School (Indianapolis) will sign his letter of intent at 11:40 a.m. Ron Patterson of Broad Ripple High School (Indianapolis) will sign his letter of intent at 3:00 p.m. Jeremy Hollowell of Lawrence Central High School (Indianapolis) will sign his letter of intent at 7:00 p.m. Extra: Former NBA player and current TV analyst Kenny "The Jet" Smith sat down with Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell and broke down some film.

Injuries will keep Drane, Latimer and Webb out for season

Senior safety Jarrell Drane, who has suffered injury problems during his tenure at IU, will miss the final two games with the ankle injury suffered early in the year, IU Coach Kevin Wilson said. Junior safety Alexander Webb broke his forearm during Saturday's game against Ohio State and will miss the final two games, Webb said on his Twitter account.

Hoosier Spotlight: Verdell Jones III

Overview: Jones is a 6-5, 195 pound senior guard out of Champaign, Ill. Jones, who currently ranks 33rd on the IU All-Time scoring list, averaged 12.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game as a junior last season.

Men's swimming and diving falls to Michigan, Texas

The IU men's swimming and diving team (2-2) never found their comfort zone in the pool on Saturday, as the Hoosiers fell to Michigan 216-84, and Texas 217.5-82.5, in the double dual-meet held in Ann Arbor, Mich. After going winless in last night's 16-event exhibition meet, the Hoosiers garnered only one win in the 16 events held today.

Men's soccer grabs win on Senior Day

Before the game, Hoosier fans gave the five seniors on the men's soccer team a standing ovation before their last regular season game at Jerry Yeagley Field. Afterwards, the seniors - Alec Purdie, Tyler McCarroll, Tommy Meyer, Chris Estridge, and Nick Blevins - were able to go out on top with a win Saturday against Ohio State 1-0. "It's been a great senior day for me," Estridge said.

Harrison Petts named to Academic All-District Team

On the eve of the team's regular season finale against Ohio State Saturday, sophomore midfielder Harrison Petts received accolades off the field Friday, being named to the Capital One Academic All-District team, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America. In order to qualify to be nominated for the award, student-athletes must have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA, have been at their school for at least one year and be a sophomore in athletic eligibility and played in at least 50 percent of their team's games. Petts has started in all 17 of the Hoosiers' games this season and has recorded six assists for iU, tied for the lead on the team and tied for second in the Big Ten. Petts will now move onto the national ballot for Academic All-American consideration, and those results will be announced Dec.
