After the conference's weekend play, including IU's defeat of Ohio State 1-0 and Northwestern taking the conference title, the men's soccer team will compete as the fourth seed in the Big Ten conference tournament which begins Wednesday Nov. 9 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
After taking the regular season conference title with a Big Ten record of 4-0-2, Northwestern will receive a first-round bye and play the winner of the IU-Michigan State game which will be played Wednesday at 1:oo p.m..
In their only meeting this season, just two weeks ago, IU tied Michigan State 2-2 at Jerry Yeagley Field after holding a 2-0 lead early in the second half.
If the Hoosiers are able to defeat the Spartans, they will face Northwestern on Friday in a semi-final match starting at 1:00 p.m., and the match will air on the Big Ten Network. The winner will play in a championship match on Sunday at noon, also to be shown on the BTN.
