Live blogging, Hoosiers vs Cardinals

1st half Under 16:00 Hoosiers start out on a 10-0 run, it is now 10-2 with Jori Davis awaiting two free throws Usually starter Jamie Braun was not in the starting lineup, she was replaced by sophomore Whitney Lindsay. Other starters were the usual: Roberson, Davis, Jackson and Thomas Under 12:00 Freshmen Sasha Chaplin who missed both exhibition games with injury scores her first bucket of her career.

The pride of Georgia, Zach Osterman gave some PREDICTIONS in his column today, but i'd like to hear some of yours. Hoosiers claim Big Ten honors

After defeating Ohio State 1-0 in the first round of the Big Ten tournament, the Hoosiers picked up several season-long conference honors. Freshman forward Will Bruin: Big Ten Freshman of the Year and All-Freshman Team Junior defender Kevin Alston: All-Big Ten First Team Senior midfielder Brad Ring: All-Big Ten First Team Sophomore midfielder Andy Adlard: All-Big Ten Second Team Junior midfielder Eric Alexander: All-Big Ten Second Team Freshman defender Tommy Meyer: All-Freshman Team Sophomore midfielder Rich Balchan: team sportsmanship award IU will play Michigan 2:30 on Friday in the semifinal game of the Big Ten Tournament, broadcast live on the Big Ten Network.

Legette-Jack inks two for 2009-2010

IU coach Felisha Legette-Jack announced today the signing of two athletes to National Letters of Intent for the upcoming 2009-2010 season. Aulani Sinclair is a 6-1 forward from Eminence High School in Eminence, Indiana.

Muniru waiting on papers

The Big Ten Network apparently reported Bawa Muniru's letter of intent was in, but in fact it was not. By text message he told me he has yet to receive the LOI paperwork in the mail.

I'm quickly trying to get an article in for tomorrow, but just minutes ago (7:33 p.m.) I spoke to Ernest Watford, Christian's father, who said the signed papers were sent in. "I did (send them) about 20 or 30 minutes ago...20 minutes ago.

Young guys must get time in last, two games

Since there's no 13th game this season, the younger guys must get time in the next two games. I understand IU will compete against powerhouse Penn State and rival Purdue, but its time to put the young guns into tough bouts.
