IU coach Felisha Legette-Jack announced today the signing of two athletes to National Letters of Intent for the upcoming 2009-2010 season.

Aulani Sinclair is a 6-1 forward from Eminence High School in Eminence, Indiana. In case you have trouble locating Eminence on a map, it is 53 miles north of Bloomington around the Indianapolis/Martinsville area. During her junior year of high school she averaged 23.8 points and 12.4 rebounds a game.

According to the Reporter Times, the newspaper of Martinsville she had this to say after she orally committed in June.

"I always liked IU. The program has been building, and I liked the staff, the players, and the campus. I am very excited for the opportunity to play at IU."

The Hoosiers also signed Sasha Bernard, a 5-6 point guard from Atlantic Community High School in Delray Beach, Florida. Bernard averaged 17 points, 8 assists, and 8 rebounds in her junior season.

We will update you on more information from Coach Jack shortly. Until then here is the press release which includes her comments on the players:

Any thoughts on the new players? It has to be good to see an in-state recruit coming to IU. Although she played at a small high school Coach Jack expects her to have an immediate impact when she arrives at IU.
