The IU School of Education has announced the winners of the first group of Jacobs Teacher Educators from Indiana and across the country. They will be honored Saturday on Teacher and Educator Day in Bloomington.

In 2002, I was a metal-mouthed seventh grader living with my 30-something single mom. We didn’t agree on much at the time, but there was one show on television that brought us together in a way no family therapy session ever could: ABC’s “The Bachelor.”

The music is for the upcoming album “Popular People,” which is being co-produced by Kaplan and Rossman. As students in the Recording Arts program, they’ve often recorded other artists’ work. Now, they’re working on their own.

IUPD arrests suspect in B-Line Trail, fraternity armed robberies

IU Police Department officers arrested an alleged armed robbery suspect this morning at Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at 1210 E. Third St. The suspect, James Mitchell, 18 of Bloomington, was also allegedly responsible for a B-Line Trail robbery Monday night.

The show didn’t start for an hour, but at 7 p.m. Friday, patrons were already arriving in their opera attire for the opening of W.A. Mozart’s “Cosí fan tutte” at the Musical Arts Center.
