This is my final week of classes as an undergraduate. I’m not willing to say my time at IU passed in the blink of an eye, because four years actually felt like quite a long time, but there is a unique feeling of nauseous dread that comes from knowing that 16 years in the bosom of the educational system are coming to an end.

How to strike

Many have suggested that a strike is unnecessary and that we should simply begin calm, measured negotiations with the administration. We argue that negotiations cannot succeed without a show of force.

I do not have access to the raw data, but in my anecdotal experience at WTS, more than half the students I see are international students who are not proficient in English.

No retaliation against strikers

Those of us planning the strike have understood from the beginning that retaliation against strikers is a serious concern.

Rather than recognizing the continuing economic marginalization of non-white populations, these racists prefer to froth at the mouth over the loss of an illusory all-white past, as if America hadn’t been built on the backs of slaves and the graves of Native Americans.
