IU is going going, back back, to Cali Cali

The seedings are in, and the Hoosiers are the No. 7 spot in the West region. They will play No. 10 Gonzaga - the same team that ended their season in the second round of the tourney last year - Thursday in Sacramento, Calif. Encouraging News: The Sports Illustrated Projections

This is good to see, if you're me and you are charged with traveling wherever IU is slated to play Thursday: SI.com's Stewart Mandel just put together his bracket projections, and the Hoosiers have a pretty nice draw. Mandel has IU in the West region, playing in Sacramento (It's California; I'll take it). The Hoosiers are the No.

IU - Purdue game thread

Welp, that's that. IU falls to Purdue in West Lafayette, 81-68. That score doesn't quite tell the whole story; the game was much closer than that throughout, and late foul shots sunk the Hoosiers further into the late deficit. IU won't have much time to sit on this one.

IU-Purdue postponed until Thursday

We heard rumblings of a postponement earlier in the day - after all, just about everything in Bloomington is shut down right now - and the IU athletics department has made it official: the IU-Purdue game in West Lafayette is rescheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. Here's the IDS brief: Due to inclement weather and a concern for public safety, the IU men's basketball team's matchup against Purdue in West Lafayette will be postponed until Thursday night at 7 p.m. Both IU interim Media Relations Director Jeff Keag and Purdue Athletics Director Morgan Burke confirmed the postponement. "We spent a majority of the day gathering facts," Burke said in a statement.

Illinois-IU game thread

POSTGAME Wow. What an intense second half of basketball that one was. It seemed as if the Illini might have been on their way to handing IU its first home loss of the season, but somehow, someway, the Hoosiers crawled back into the lead and won 65-61. It's hard to collect my thoughts with all the action, but here are some thoughts in no particular order: *Rich McBride did not score in the second half after dropping 13 in the first.
