This is good to see, if you're me and you are charged with traveling wherever IU is slated to play Thursday: SI.com's Stewart Mandel just put together his bracket projections, and the Hoosiers have a pretty nice draw.
Mandel has IU in the West region, playing in Sacramento (It's California; I'll take it). The Hoosiers are the No. 8 seed playing No. 9 seed BYU. Not only that, but UCLA - perhaps the most vulnerable of the No. 1 seeds - is IU's likely second-round opponent.
Not an easy draw by any means, but if you ask me, it beats playing Florida or North Carolina in the second round and gives the Hoosiers a beatable first round opponent.
We'll find out more later tonight, but for now, that's a pretty encouraging projection, whether it is to be believed or not.
