IU coach Kelvin Sampson is at the mic right now for his weekly press conference. Here are some highlights. Eli Holman will likely seek a medical redshirt after injuring his wrist earlier this season. "I am pretty sure we are going to go the medical redshirt route with him," Sampson said.

There was a good article in the Capital Times today about Illinois' tough upcoming stretch of games and the scoring woes the Fighting Illini have had this season.
IU wins 78-64. D.J White had a career night with 21 points and an impressive 22 rebounds. The Hoosiers struggled again putting a team away as the IU lead was over 20 points for a lot of the second half.
The Chronicles of Bud Mackey has added another unusual twist to an already twisted story. The former IU recruit is now playing on the same team as the person that ended up with his scholarship, guard Terrell Holloway. After Mackey was busted for drug trafficking last September, he withdrew from Scott County High School and enrolled in Harmony Prep in Cincinatti where Holloway is a student.
In a phone conversation with James Hardy's agent Eugene Parker, (I call it a conversation and not an interview because it was two minutes long, one of those minutes trying to fight through both our bad cell receptions..) Parker said that Hardy was in Tampa Bay, Fla.
Hey folks, Sorry for the lack of live blogging and postgame coverage. The journalism school building lost power, and thus, so did our servers.
James Hardy made headlines with his departure to the NFL, but he might not be the first Hoosier selected on NFL Draft day. ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., the John Nash of mock drafts , ranks IU cornerback Tracy Porter as the No.
Luke Winn posted a good interview with D.J. White on his blog today. My favorite part had to do with Eric Gordon: LW: Gordon looks like such a veteran scorer when he's on the floor.
Game Notes from IUHoosiers In the only meeting of the regular season, the No. 11 Hoosiers will travel to Ann Arbor to face Michigan.
I found this video of Justin Johnson impressive performance in the last two minutes of the game. The refs did miss a call around the 2:45 minute mark of the video where an Iowa player sets a moving screen/shoves Jordan Crawford as he is trying to close in on Johnson before a long three-pointer. A lot of people I've seen on the different message boards and friends were concerned with the performance at Iowa, who is projected to be one of the worst teams in the Big 10.
Hey folks, Due to some technical difficulties, we weren't able to post last night's game wrap to the Web site, so I'm just going to throw it here on the blog for your reading pleasure.
Today, junior wide receiver James Hardy declared himself eligible for the 2008 NFL Draft and will forgo his senior season at IU. Hardy led all Hoosiers in receptions, yards, and touchdowns (79, 1125, 16, respectively) and set school records in all three categories.
Hey folks, Not much to say here. I'll have an article posted on the main Web site in a little bit that wraps the game. It was a frustrating game on both sides, but IU's primary troubles seemed to be: turnovers, poor shooting and missing open shots. Coach Jack said that, on nights where the shots aren't falling, her team needs to fall back on defense.
Hey folks, As promised, your in-game blog is below. Not too much to note tonight that wasn't said in that pregame post.
Hey folks, I do apologize for not getting you a preview of the IU-Purdue game tonight, my travel situation got all screwed around by cold, wind and snow.
IU 79-76, FINAL SCORE Stemler hit just one of two, but Iowa had no timeouts and could not get the ball back down the floor.
The Hoosiers are in Iowa City right now. The authors of the IDS Basketblog are in Indiana. Fear not faithful reader(s), we will travel with the team in the future (winter break complicates things for us). But I will be live-blogging the game tonight. Happy New Year, and all that.
Its almost New Years and the UTR staff is growing restless. Here are our stories from tonight's game:Lee wrote a game wrap detailing the game with compelling quotes from several players and IU coach Bill Lynch.Tom's story focuses on what exactly went wrong during the Insight Bowl that led to the 49-33 obliteration. Finally (last but not least), my column suggests a few friendly New Year's resolutions for the Hoosiers.Have a Happy New Year and we'll see you in 2008.
