Hey folks,
Not much to say here. I'll have an article posted on the main Web site in a little bit that wraps the game. It was a frustrating game on both sides, but IU's primary troubles seemed to be: turnovers, poor shooting and missing open shots. Coach Jack said that, on nights where the shots aren't falling, her team needs to fall back on defense. They did that well, focring 15 turnovers and some similarly poor shooting from the Boilermakers. But IU struggled down the stretch to make the most of second-chance opportunities, and they couldn't answer either of Purdue's runs int he second half. It will be interesting to me to see how these two teams play each other at Mackey Arena in 11 days time. That's the beauty of scheduling I guess. The Hoosiers play again Sunday. I promise I'll actually have a pre-game warm-up stat sheet for you on Illinois, who will bring their game to Bloomington. Until then, stay warm and drive safe.
