In the only meeting of the regular season, the No. 11 Hoosiers will travel to Ann Arbor to face Michigan. Unfortunately for IU, Tommy Amaker will not be on the sideline for the Wolverines as IU has won 14 of the last 16 match-ups.
John Beilein, former coach of West Virginia, has taken his fair share of lumps in his first year as the head man for Michigan. The schedule has been brutal for the Wolverines, who have suffered losses to Georgetown, Butler, Boston College, Duke, UCLA and Wisconsin this season.
Freshman guard Manny Harris (who was recruited by IU) leads the team in scoring, averaging over 16 points a game. He had a career-high 25 points in a loss at Purdue Saturday, dropping the Wolverines to 0-2 in conference play. I caught a bit of that game - Michigan struggled to score, but played tough defense in Beilein's trademark 1-3-1 zone.
Beilein and Michigan may have a rough season, but that won't last for long as Beilein has won wherever he's been. Also, as IU fans found out last week, any Big 10 road game is a battle.
Has anyone seen UM play this season? Thoughts? Will the Hoosiers notch its second conference road win of the season?
