The Chronicles of Bud Mackey has added another unusual twist to an already twisted story.The former IU recruit is now playing on the same team as the person that ended up with his scholarship, guard Terrell Holloway.
After Mackey was busted for drug trafficking last September, he withdrew from Scott County High School and enrolled in Harmony Prep in Cincinatti where Holloway is a student. Mackey is still awaiting a trial date and still hopes to play college basketball next fall.
HoosierNation.com's John Decker spoke with Holloway recently about the situation. How awkward must this be for Holloway? It's like if Hillary Clinton became the running mate of Barack Obama (that is, if Hillary got busted for walking around with crack between her toes).
I just hope Holloway doesn't accidentally swap shoes with Mackey in the locker room.
