Darius Willis Update
After Saturday's scrimmage Willis said he is still battling some injuries and is 80%. He carried the ball 4 times totaling 20 yards.

IU in running for Teague; three 09 signees team up in Louisville
Jordan Hulls, Maurice Creek and Christian Watford, three of Tom Crean's six-man recruiting class for next year, will be playing together on Saturday in the Derby Festival Classic in Louisiville.

Elam named All-American
IU recruit Hope Elam, who will join the Hoosiers for their upcoming season was selected as a 1st team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Assocation. Elam played this past year at Vincennes University.

IU coach Tracy Smith's team this week endured their worst loss of the season against Louisville, but responded with a powerful win over Valparaiso. On Tuesday afternoon, the Hoosiers went to Jim Patterson Stadium to take on the Cardinals.

IU fans, the men's basketball program appreciates you
Hey folks, Received this e-mail from our friend, J.D. Campbell, over at IU media relations. Boiled down to its bare bones, it's an open invitation from the IU basketball team to you to come on down to IU fans' other favorite athletic pastime, a tailgate, in this case prior to IU's spring football game on April 18. Players and coaches will interact with fans and Crean will "publicly announce" team awards for the past season. The deviled eggs are in the details -- as are the brats, Ruffles and those little crock pot-smoked meatballs (awful joke, I know) -- and I will therefore post them below in the form of the full release.

End of season Q and A with Coach Jack
Well, the women's basketball season is officially over now with UCONN's 76-54 crushing of Louisville for their sixth national title. Next week i will hopefully be sitting down with IU coach Felisha Legette-Jack to discuss her thoughts on the big issues/events of the season and the future of the program. If you have any burning questions for Coach Jack feel free to post them in the comments section of this post and i will try to address them with her. Otherwise any additional thoughts of this past season or the outlook for next season?

WNIT and NCAA notes
-The WNIT wrapped up yesterday with South Florida beating Kansas 75-71 in Lawrence, Kan. Kansas got to the championship game by beating Illinois State (who put IU out of the tournament) with a final score of 75-72. -The final four this weekend in St.

IU wins the Illinois series, 2-1
IU won its Big Ten series with Illinois on the strength of freshman DH Alex Dickerson and junior catcher Josh Phegley's bats, as they posted three home runs. Phegley lead IU to a 14-4 win in game 1 of the series, with two home runs and five RBI on a 3-for-4 day.

Kristi Hewitt of Wing It, David Richardson-Rossbach of Delta Upsilon are Miss N' Out champions
Just got back from the track, and here's the latest. Kristi Hewitt won the women's Miss N' Out competition in dominating fashion, finishing nearly a full turn ahead of the field. David Richardson-Rossbach of DU won out in a close contest between himself and Eric Young of the Cutters. IU dominates Cincinnati, 16-4
The Hoosiers extended their win streak to three games, as IU defeated Cincinnati 16-4. Sophomore pitcher Joey O'Gara earned the victory after giving up only one earned run in three innings. The important part of the game for the Hoosiers was the first inning.
