Legette-Jack adds former player to coaching staff

IU head coach Felisha Legette-Jack has picked Amaka Agugua to fill a spot as the assistant coach for the Hoosiers. The spot became open when former assistant Marc Wilson's contract was not renewed. Legette-Jack and Agugua have plenty of familiarity with each other as Legette-Jack coached Agugua from 2002-2006 at Hofstra. Legette-Jack said she enjoyed having Agugua at Hofstra and is thrilled to be working with her again at IU. "Amaka is a humble person, but she's a hard worker," Legette-Jack said in a statement.

Son of former Hoosier may be next to commit

Winston Morgan played for Bob Knight back in the 1980s. Now his son, Moses Morgan, could be joining the Hoosiers in 2010. Earlier this week, Rivals.com's Jerry Meyer wrote that the 6-foot-5 "physical wing" is a big fan of Crean and he plans to make a visit to campus in June. But earlier today, Jody Demling suggested that the Las Vegas native might be IU's next commitment, while HoosierNation.com has an article entitled "Morgan favors IU as decision nears." The recruit is apparently thinking about making a decision in the next few weeks. Though Scout.com has Morgan as a three-star prospect, Rivals.com rates the 2010 recruit as the No.

The new Hoosier Hysteria

It's been about a month since the IU women's basketball team's season ended, but I thought I'd put together a soundslide (sound + slideshow) multimedia piece to reflect on the Hoosiers' 21-11 season. Our beat writer Jeremy Rosenthal sat down for a post-season interview with coach Felisha Legette-Jack a couple weeks ago, and that's the primary audio in the piece. I took the photos throughout the season including the Hoosiers' games at Assembly Hall, the Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis along with the Dayton, Bowling Green State and Illinois State WNIT games.
