The Union Board and the IU Student Association passed a plan last week to create gender-neutral bathrooms on the first, second and eighth floor of the student activities tower in the Indiana Memorial Union.

Smith’s Sport ’n Shoe moves, renames

Local sports store Smith’s Sport ’n Shoe has a new location and name, but owner Steve Smith says the economy is not to blame. The store, now called Smith’s Shoe Center, openead Jan. 23 in its 11,000 square-foot new location at the corner of South Walnut Street and Miller Drive.

West side Copper Cup closes

Bloomington’s west side location of Copper Cup closed last week due to bad location and the economy, said owner Dean Foster. Despite the trouble, however, Foster said Bloomington’s two locations near campus will remain open.
