Coke is the wrong company for IU

IU should not continue its exclusive contract with Coca-Cola.

There are initiatives being put forth around Bloomington to support greater use of local suppliers and resources of which the University should avail itself. While it may have the short-term effect of being more financially burdensome, it will result in greater returns in the long run.

Not only does Coke perpetrate abuses against labor organizers in Colombia and elsewhere, it is also a major contributor to groundwater pollution at its bottling plants, especially in India.

Visit www.killercoke.org to get an idea of how broad the abuses of Coca-Cola are, and don’t limit our choices by serving us only Coca-Cola.
