Administration appears confused

I am disappointed to read that the IUB administration is not fully supportive of The First Nations Educational and Cultural Center. Apparently Native Americans, Native Hawaiians and Alaskan Natives have not been given full administrative support.

Green is the new blue and red. I did a double take when I saw a commercial featuring Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Pat Robertson relaxing together on a couch on a beach. Recently, I paused for a similar commercial featuring Nancy Pelosi, the current Democratic Speaker of the House, and former Republican Speaker Newt Gingrich, smiling together on a couch in front of Capitol Hill.

George Stephanopoulos, respected national political reporter, defended his indefensible April 16 Democratic presidential debate moderating by suggesting that candidates should “expect” almost an hour of trivial and irresponsible hectoring from a political press bent on nabbing “gotcha!” moments. In so doing, Stephanopoulos demonstrates everything wrong with our nation’s journalism and everything we must fix.

Vote Obama

On May 6, for the first time in a long time, Indiana primary voters will go to the polls to meaningfully vote for a Democratic nominee for president. This choice is not an easy one, as it demands of Democrats a critical question: Should they embrace their past successes, symbolized by the Hillary Clinton campaign, or bet on future gains, as in the youth movement and excitement of Barack Obama?

Kirkwood out, Big Red in

The IU Student Association Supreme Court disqualified the election-winning Kirkwood ticket from the 2008 IUSA Elections on Tuesday afternoon, giving way for the Big Red ticket to take office April 28. After 48 hours of deliberation, the IUSA Supreme Court found Kirkwood in violation of six election codes.

42 honored at annual SRSA banquet

IU communications class to host free bingo night
