Terrence Malick's "The New World" is a film that requires a lot out of its viewer. It is not for the average, passive filmgoer and it is not for someone merely interested in just catching a glimpse of Colin Farrell's robust Irish chest.

Spielberg expertly tackles terror

'United 93' brings 9/11 memories to life

IU student arrested for bank robbery

An IU student admitted to robbing a Bloomington bank the Friday before spring break, said Bloomington Police Department Sgt. David Drake, reading from a police report. Margaret Baurley, a junior at IU and a 2002 graduate of Bloomington High School North, was arrested and preliminarily charged with robbery, a Class C felony, March 11. Baurley appeared in court March 17 and pleaded not guilty, said Monroe County Judge Viola Taliaferro.
