The 11th annual Great Glass Pumpkin Patch will be in person from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Monroe County Courthouse lawn. People who reserve tickets on their website will be able to purchase any of 500 blown glass pumpkins at the event, organized by the Bloomington Creative Glass Center.

The annual Lotus World Music and Arts Festival will return to Bloomington this weekend. The event will take place virtually, with the exception of one live, socially distanced concert at 1 p.m. Saturday at Switchyard Park.

The local music organization, B’Town Jazz, will put on virtual performances by local jazz artists on the first Saturday of every month starting at 8 p.m. Saturday for their new series Homegrown Hip. The first performance will feature the local Postmodern Jazz Quartet led by IU political science professor Jeff Isaac.

This year, La Casa Latino Cultural Center partnered with Latino cultural centers of other universities, academic student organizations and Bloomington organizations to celebrate Latinx heritage month from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. The events will take place on Zoom and cover topics on Latinx life and culture.

Switchyard Park will put on its first ever Summer Sendoff Concert 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 4, according to the Bloomington Parks and Recreation website. The concert will feature Matixando and Kid Kazooey and The BallRoom Roustabouts. The event is free, but a ticket is required for admission. The event is currently sold out.

A cappella group Straight No Chaser will be performing a Facebook live event presented by the IU Auditorium at 8 p.m. EST on May 28. The event will feature several of the group’s members, Randy Stine, Steve Morgan, Tyler Trepp and Seggie Isho speaking with fans about the group’s formation, their careers and answering questions.

The Buskirk-Chumley Theater will be closed through May 10 due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus, according to a statement released by the theater on Tuesday. Events during the time period will be canceled or postponed.

The IU Auditorium has decided to postpone or cancel all of its events scheduled from March 23 to April 5, according to IU spokesperson Chuck Carney. The IU Cinema will cancel all events from March 13 to April 7.
