Dancers from the Jacobs School of Music Opera and Ballet Theater prepare for their show “Dark Meets Light" in October 2019.

The Bloomington Urban Enterprise Association and the Bloomington Arts Commission are looking for applicants for a second round of funding to cultivate cultural experiences and advance the arts in Bloomington, according to a release.

Businesses in the arts and culture sector and nonprofit organizations can apply here through Oct. 2. Awards and distribution will be announced later that month.

Applications will be judged on numerous elements including artistic quality, programming needs and diversity and inclusion efforts.

The funding is a part of Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton’s Recover Forward initiative to help with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the city.
