The first installment of Fred Glass's office hours took place this afternoon at the Indiana Memorial Union. During the two hour session, discussions ranged from how to improve attendance at football games, the possibility of making basketball games general admittance on a first come-first serve basis and how Glass thinks this years basketball team will go down in history. There wasn't many people in attendance - Osterman, IU student body president Luke Fields, three other students who appeared to be associated with some organization and I were the only visitors.
IU Athletics Director Fred Glass will be holding his first set of 'office hours' from 3-5 p.m, today in the Persimmon room at the Indiana Memorial Union. Glass said the main objective of the event is to be more accessible to the student body. Another hopeful goal of Glass' is to try and gage what would drive students to come to more sporting events - namely football. "I think it's critically important," Glass said.
IU coach Bill Lynch will make his annual recruiting/signing presentation to the media Wednesday. Basically, Lynch outlines each signee's strengths and talks about where he'll fit on the team next year.
The Hoosiers lost a chance for 1st place and probably a top 25 ranking today in a very winable game.
