The Hoosiers lost a chance for 1st place and probably a top 25 ranking today in a very winable game. The Hoosiers fell 59-51 in Columbus. The team now drops to a tie for third in the Big Ten with Purdue. OSU is at 1 and MSU is at 2.

To me the biggest turning point was after the Hoosiers went up by as many as 9 in the first half OSU went on a 7-0 run to cut the lead to 2 and then lead by 3 at halftime. The Hoosiers were never able to recover from this point on. The interior defense of the Hoosiers struggled against All-American candiate Jantel Levender who had 17 points. The perimeter shooting was awful as well (5-19). Having Amber Jackson go out with 17:20 in the first half and only playing 3 min in the second half certainly did not help.

The Hoosiers will be back in action on the road against Iowa on Thursday.
