Just days away from the season opener, the Hoosiers are now going to be without two starters. Guard Justin Pagan and corner back Donnell Jones, both questionable last week, have been downgraded to out for Thursday's matchup with Eastern Kentucky. Taking over for Pagan is redshirt freshman Marc Damisch, and sophomore Chris Adkins is taking Jones' spot. The offensive line and defensive backfield are the last places the Hoosiers want to see injuries occur, as scratches all over the board in those positions caused much of the team's struggles last year. Is there reason to be concerned for Week 1, Hoosier fans?

As the IU football team prepares for their season opening matchup with Easter Kentucky on Thursday, head coach Bill Lynch has announced on his radio show the four team captains for Week 1: QB Ben Chappell, OT Rodger Saffold, DE Jammie Kirlew, and LB Will Paterson. Along with beginning his final high school basketball season, he will make one of the biggest decisions of his life. Luckily for him, he's narrowed his choices down to three schools. Mobley recently announced he had whittled his possible college choices to Cincinnati, South Carolina and IU.
The Indy Star is reporting that Brandon Mobley, a three-star recruit and teammate of IU commit for the class of 2010 David Williams, has IU on his final list of schools. The 6-foot-9, 215-pound Mobley played with Williams on the Atlanta Celtics.
