Scout.com posted their Summer All-Americans today, and nearly half of the players on the list have expressed an interest in IU.
There is one IU target on the first-team group known to many across Hoosier nation as the blue-chip 2010 recruit. Kyrie Irving, the No. 9 recruit in his class according to Rivals, announced recently that he will be making official visits to both IU and Duke, although he has not announced dates for those visits.
The other three recruits made Scout's second team.
2011 recruit Marquis Teague was on that list. He recently visited Kentucky and told Jeff Drummond of CatsPause.com, Kentucky's Rivals affiliate, that Kentucky has "the best of everything." Teague also told Drummond he has a favorite, but his father does not want him to announce it yet.
The top recruit in the land for the class of 2011 and a high school teammate of Irving, Michael Gilchrist, also made the second team. His interest could grow should Irving make the call to go to IU.
Rounding out the group is Rakeem Christmas, who recently transferred to the Academy of the New Church Boys and announced IU was in his top-eight schools under consideration heading into his junior season. Christmas is the top center in the class of 2011 on both Scout and Rivals.
