Haunted Homecoming?

·

Halloween is here, and for some it means costumes, pranks and festivities. While most IU students will be partying and dressing up as monsters, the 2-5 (0-4 in the Big Ten) IU Hoosiers will be facing a different sort of boogey-man in the No. 23 Minnesota Golden Gophers.

'The Full Monty:' They danced. They sang. They stripped.

·

Wednesday night's production of the Broadway musical "The Full Monty" left the enthusiastic audience members with grins on their faces and tunes in their heads. The show was a hit, and it wasn't just because of the (ahem) minimal costumes of the six main male characters in the last scene of the show.

·

The hoopla over the presidential elections sank into the "you can't make that shit up" category years ago, but every four years, it manages to get worse. Please, protest with purpose

·

Has anyone told the anti-Bush protesters who were on Kirkwood and Indiana avenues Tuesday afternoon that Bush will likely win our state? It doesn't seem like it. People can yell, scream and "honk against Bush" all they want, but it just isn't going to make a difference in the Hoosier state.

What is this obsession with Thefacebook? For the 12 of you living in the basement of Ballantine who don't know what www.Thefacebook.com is, don't ask me because I don't get it.

Voters will not simply be selecting their preferred candidates Nov. 2. Three amendments to the Indiana Constitution are also on the ballot. Unlike the candidates, who may or may not return on their policy promises (either through their own doing or otherwise), the voters' decision is the final word on these three issues. Unfortunately, many voters are unaware that these amendments are even on the ballot, and still others are befuddled by their potentially complex wording.

With each strike, with each out, the room crescendoed with "Let's go Red Sox" chants and cheering. By the time the third out in the ninth inning had been called, the room exploded with volume as the Boston Red Sox threw an 86-year old monkey off of its back.
