Following the stupid/funny films vein already cut open by successful predecessors like “Superbad” and “Pineapple Express,” director Kevin Smith takes a stab of his own with “Zack and Miri Make A Porno,” which – imagine that! – even stars Seth Rogen, a cultural staple in surface-level comedy today.


An infinite disappointment

Targeting fans of hipster romantic comedies such as “Garden State” and “Juno,” “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist” attempts to match the charm and wit of others in the genre only to come up with something much less sincere and authentic.

7.0-magnitude quake shakes northern Indonesia

Indonesia issued a tsunami warning after a powerful quake struck waters off its eastern coast early Thursday, a local agency said. it was not immediately clear if the temblor caused any injures or damage.

Paul Carter’s career-high 22 points and a season-high 14 steals by quick-handed Minnesota helped the Gophers hold off the IU men’s basketball team 62-54 on Tuesday.

Cycling club a great choice for all riders

For the IU Cycling Club, the spirit of competitive cycling lasts throughout the entire school year. This student-run association is one of several club sports organizations at IU.

More students flock to Career center for help

A slumbering economy has brought more students to the IU Career Development Center seeking assistance. The center will present a workshop titled “Interviewing 101” from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the center, which sits on the corner of 10th Street and Jordan Avenue. The Center will present another workshop, “Resume Writing 101,” Thursday.
