Huskers hope to sheer Hoosiers' title hopes

Fifty-nine miles away from the University of Nebraska’s Hawks Field at Haymarket Park is TD Ameritrade Park, the site of the 2013 College World Series. The No. 17 Hoosiers (34-8, 11-4), for their penultimate Big Ten road series, will be about an hour away from the location of item No. 2 on their list of preseason goals.

FRENCH LICK, Ind. — After a strong start to the Big Ten Men’s Golf Championship, the IU men’s golf team faltered on the weekend and finished in a tie for fourth place this weekend.

The IU rowing team finished third in the fifth-annual Dale England Cup on Saturday at Lake Lemon in Bloomington for its final regular season regatta.

In a three-game series with Wisconsin (39-8, 15-5), IU (19-31, 3-16) was outscored by a combined 20-3 margin and was swept for a third consecutive series.

Drouin extends record, close finishes in relays

The atmosphere was charged this weekend at Franklin Field as 48,025 track and field fans cheered at the Penn Relays. IU track and field sent several athletes to Philadelphia to participate in the 118-year-old event.

Women's golf places 5th

The IU women’s golf team fired a round of 303 for the second consecutive day to finish the final day of the Big Ten Tournament in fifth place.

Women's tennis dominates Wisconsin

The No. 38 IU women’s tennis team, the 6-seed in the Big Ten Tournament, bounced back from a pair of losses last weekend by defeating 11-seed Wisconsin 4-0 in the first round Thursday afternoon.

Hoosiers seek third NCAA bid

This weekend, the Hoosiers (19-12) will partake in the CWPA Eastern Conference Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich., with a berth to the NCAA Championships tournament on the line. If IU wins the tournament, it will automatically qualify for the NCAAs. If IU takes home anything less than the first-place trophy, the season will be over.
