While the majority of the national debate will be between two candidates, one Democrat and one Republican, these Americans have begun campaigns to become the leader of the free world. You may not hear their names in headlines and on TV, but these lesser-known candidates are still in the race for the White House.

Community garden opens rental plots

As of Feb. 1, Bloomington residents who seek gardening space outside their homes could sign on for another year of community growing. The community gardening program through the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department rents more than 200 plots to Bloomington residents from April through October.

Lining the right white wall of the pictura gallery, untitled photographs taken by Ai Takahashi glisten in the lighting of the room. The exhibit was guest-curated by Mariko Takeuchi and James Nakagawa, both of whom are well-known photographers and photography critics in Japan and around the world.
