I am afraid that Anna Piontek’s article (Feminists For ... What?, May 31) has only contributed to the confusion regarding feminism. Feminism is not simply, and vaguely, about equality.

Crime in the classroom

So as the students of Crime in the Media shuffle out of their classroom, having just watched Clint Eastwood shoot up half of San Fransisco, the rest of Bloomington can rest easy. Nobody's getting any wise ideas.


Mr. Brooks: B+

Rather than recycle the same old serial murder and police pursuit plotline, "Mr. Brooks" puts a new spin on Hollywood killing that will shock and awe.

Fortunately, the spots where the band gets to show off its trademark sound make up the difference, providing the elements Cake fans have come to expect: quirky country, bouncy funk and playful vocals.



Hannibal Rising: Movie: D Extras: B-

It would've been interesting to hear from Lecter mastermind Thomas Harris, who wrote the Hannibal novels and the screenplay for this film, in the audio commentary, but like the film itself, the extras fail to rise past mediocrity.

Forza Motorsport 2: X-BOX 360

If you missed the first "Forza," this is a no-brainer; it's a great driving sim you need to try out. But if you played the hell out of the first one, you might be better off playing it a bit more until there's a price drop in the new one.




R. Kelly Double Up : B-

Part Marvin Gaye, part Richard Pryor and part Michael Jackson (and not the part that sings), Kelly is a mad genius who knows exactly what he needs to do to get attention.
