Police say radar patrol is not ‘speed trap’

Latina artist to unveil paintings at IMUG for Hispanic Heritage Month

B.E. Gutierrez, a young Latina artist, created a series of paintings titled “My Fire” for her exhibition in the IMU Gallery, or IMUG. The gallery opening will be at 6 p.m. Friday in the IMUG. The exhibit will be on display until Oct. 15, the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Right anger, wrong reasons

I got fired up about a junior senator primary underdog in 2007 because of the same characteristics that are getting now-President Obama into serious trouble today. Obama was a intellectually brilliant lawyer, an inspiring writer and orator, and from my point of view, a thinly disguised policy wonk with a problem-solving approach to dealing with national and international issues.
