Retired racing greyhound Tanner went from training for races on the dirt track at Dairyland Greyhound Track in Wisconsin to taking leisurely laps around the bed and down the stairs at the apartment of Erik and Christine Shaver.

After four years of trying, the Monroe County United Ministries has finally met its goal to collect 15,000 pounds of food and hygiene products during its weekend-long Each One, Feed One Community Food Drive.

IU's Department of Communication and Culture is sponsoring a City Lights Film Series. The series, headed by the department's graduate students, will bring classic films such as "Altered States", "Carrie", and "Stella Dallas".

Steve Jobs is gone, hipsters aghast

Radish Article: Taking both the success and the aura that Jobs has into account, it’s only a matter of time until some other person will be called the Steve Jobs of his or her generation. But what will happen to the company I love so much in a post-Steve Jobs world? I know nothing about Apple outside of Jobs. Therefore, I can only assume the worst.

Female students followed by male suspect early Sunday

A suspicious male in the area of east Atwater  and south Fess avenues followed two female students early Sunday morning, IU Police Lt. Andy Stephenson said in a Protect IU email.

New baseball and softball facilities approved, will open in 2013

On Aug. 19, the IU Board of Trustees approved construction of a new baseball and softball complex to be built north of the Indiana Tennis Center and Mellencamp Pavilion. Ground is scheduled to be broken in spring 2012. The stadiums should be ready for the 2013 season.

IU men’s soccer’s hopes of defending their Big Ten championship took a sizable hit Dec. 29, 2010, when their leading scorer, junior Will Bruin, decided to forego his senior season and pursue a career in Major League Soccer.

Men’s soccer travels to South Bend for opener

The No. 17 IU men’s soccer team will open their season at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in South Bend with renewed expectations. They’ll take on No. 12 Notre Dame in the team’s first season opener on the road since 2006.
