Eric Gordon sustains back injury in win

IU men’s basketball star freshman guard Eric Gordon injured his lower back during the first half of IU’s 84-72 win against Tennessee State on Monday, but after the game IU coach Kelvin Sampson said Gordon was OK and will play against Kentucky on Saturday. Gordon sustained a bruised tailbone after falling to the hardwood.

Chancellor to step down

IU-Bloomington Chancellor Sharon Brehm announced her resignation Thursday to accept the role of senior adviser to IU President Adam Herbert. Brehm, who is also the University vice president for academic affairs, gave Herbert her resignation letter Wednesday and e-mailed University deans about her decision.

Teen sniper pleads to manslaughter

Duke Energy gets approval for S. Indiana coal plant

Opposition to Duke Energy’s planned coal plant continued to go up in smoke Nov. 20 as the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission gave the go-ahead to Duke Energy for the construction of a technologically advanced “clean coal” power plant in Edwardsport, Ind., about 50 miles south of Bloomington.

IU researchers to evaluate 21st Century Scholars Program

Former naval officer gets medical school position

Fraternity to host dinner for Boys and Girls Club
