The IU community mourned two shootings this week. One, at a Pittsburgh synagogue, left 11 dead and six wounded. The other, less than 15 hours later, happened at an off-campus IU fraternity party. One man died and two others were injured, including a man who remains in critical condition.
Contenders for one of Indiana's seats in the Senate will duke it out in the final debate before Election Day on Thursday evening. Incumbent Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Indiana, faces challenges from Republican former state legislator Mike Braun and Libertarian candidate Lucy Brenton.

After going behind 7-0 to start the game, the Hoosiers responded well with both Peyton Ramsey and Michael Penix Jr. seeing time at quarterback with success. Ramsey finished with 20 of 27 passing for 156 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Penix went 8 of 10 passing for 96 yards and a touchdown.
