She and another roommate were hiding in their rooms, hoping Willison would calm down.Haley tried to talk to Willison, who said she didn’t know what they were talking about, Drake said. When Haley warned her about disorderly conduct, Willison told him she had diplomatic immunity and didn’t have to do anything they told her to do.Willison became calm enough for Haley to leave, but officers were called back to the residence at 3:22 a.m., Drake said. Willison had made threats against one roommate and was waiting outside her bedroom door for her. Willison refused to cooperate with officers, said she was an Italian citizen and again claimed diplomatic immunity, Drake said.Officers arrested Willison, who did not have proof of diplomatic immunity. The Italian consulate in Chicago was also notified, as is required by law, Drake said.

Farris also had a warrant out for parole violation, and his driver’s license had been suspended.At 3:39 a.m. Tuesday, Officer Ian Lovan responded to a call about a vehicle crash in the 2900 block of N. Dunn St. in which the driver had fled on foot, Canada said. Officer Scott Reynolds also responded to the call and found four men walking near Bankers Drive and Blue Ridge Drive. One did not have a shirt on, and blood was running down his arm. A fifth man had been trapped in the passenger seat of the car.Farris initially denied what happened but later confessed, Canada said. Farris had been driving 55 to 60 miles per hour in the 30 mile per hour zone when he tried to brake for a curve in the road. The vehicle slid, flipped and landed 40 to 50 feet down in an embankment, Canada said.Officers found Farris was intoxicated and took him into custody, Canada said. The man trapped in the passenger seat was removed from the vehicle and suffered facial fractions. Three of the other passengers had minor injuries, Canada said.

The victim did not remember being hit and was not able to describe the suspect. He remembered waking up a few minutes later and walking back to his house, where he realized his wallet and cell phone were missing, Canada said.

David Drake, reading from a police report.The victim told police another man standing nearby began yelling, saying he was a police officer. The man pulled out handcuffs and told the victim he would take him to jail, Drake said. The man then grabbed the victim by the shoulders and pushed him toward a bench, punching the victim with the hand in which he was holding the handcuffs, Drake said.The suspect then ran west on Kirkwood Avenue. He was described as being in his 30s or 40s, having brown hair and wearing a brown baseball cap, a red T-shirt and blue jeans, Drake said.

Bedford residents Daniel Reed, 25, and Stacie Reed, 32, face charges of conspiracy to possess a narcotic drug and neglect of a dependent, BPD Lt. David Drake said, reading from a police report.Officer Dana Runnebohm was patrolling the area near Scottish Inn, 126 Franklin Rd., in an unmarked police car. While she was driving through the parking lot of the business, she saw what appeared to be a drug transaction in a dark-colored pickup truck, Drake said.Bay came out of the hotel, walked up to the truck and turned over something with silver or foil packaging to Stacie Reed, who was sitting on the passenger side of the pickup truck. When Runnebohm approached, Bay pulled her hand out of the truck and placed it in her pocket, Drake said.Runnebohm found five bindles of heroin in Bay’s pants pocket. Daniel and Stacie Reed’s 2-year-old son was sitting between them, Drake said. The Reeds also were found to have left a 12-year-old child alone at their home in Bedford. Runnebohm arrested Bay and Daniel and Stacie Reed, and the couple’s two children were taken into custody, Drake said.

David Drake said.On Feb. 24, Officer Anthony Fosnaugh spoke to a home health care worker who was helping an elderly patient in the 1600 block of North Willis Avenue, Drake said. The worker told Fosnaugh she had been with the woman around 9 a.m. when she saw Vincent grab the woman by both arms, shoving her and violently throwing her arms in front of her, Drake said.A meal was delivered to the house for the woman, and Vincent began threatening her when she said she wasn’t hungry, Drake said. Vincent then began pouring salt, pepper and liquid from a bottle of jalapeno peppers on the food. He continued to threaten her and then started laughing, Drake said.By the time officers arrived at the scene, Vincent had already left. After talking to the woman’s daughter, police found that Vincent was a friend of hers who visited often, Drake said. She told officers she did not know how to get a hold of him.On Tuesday, the woman at the same location told Fosnaugh Vincent was not there, but Fosnaugh found Vincent hiding in a bathroom, Drake said.Vincent admitted to putting jalapeno sauce on the food but denied forcing the woman to eat it, Drake said. Vincent told Fosnaugh he had been angry because he thought the home care worker was not paying enough attention to the woman.

A worker at the hospital saw Roll hiding items in the sling on her arm, Drake said. Hospital security confronted her, looked in the sling and found the items.In a written statement, Roll admitted to stealing the items but gave no reason for the theft, Drake said.

David Drake, reading from a police report. A call had come in about two men who had just pulled a knife on a doorman at the bar.The two men had been smoking in the bar, Drake said. When an employee told them to put their cigarettes out, the men refused, and the doorman and another employee escorted them out, Drake said. Once the doorman got the two men outside and tried to shut the door, he realized one of the men had a knife in his hand. The man swung at him but missed and struck the door, Drake said.The men were last seen going west on Kirkwood Avenue on foot, Drake said. The man who had the knife was described as white, about 31 years old and wearing a pewter necklace with what looked like an arrowhead on it, Drake said. The other man was described as an American Indian, about 33 years old, with a flame tattoo on his left forearm and black spiked hair, Drake said.Officers found the knife at the scene, which was described as a Buck folding knife with a 3-inch blade, Drake said.

Harlow also faces misdemeanor charges for driving while suspended and resisting a law enforcement officer.Officer Brian James was driving south on Adams Street on a routine patrol when he noticed Harlow’s blue Jeep Cherokee in front of him turn illegally at a red light, Drake said. James pulled the car over. Harlow told him he didn’t have his license on him but gave James his full name and date of birth, Drake said.While James went back to his car to run a license check, Harlow jumped out of the Jeep and James chased him north toward the Internal Medicine Associates: Landmark Medical Center. building nearby. Harlow ran through the building and out a back entrance, where he tried to hide in an enclosure for an air conditioning unit, Drake said.James approached Harlow, and when Harlow attempted to run, James sprayed him with pepper spray, Drake said. Jon Patrick, who works in the Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Suppression Section, also arrived and charged Harlow with the eight counts of purchasing pseudoephedrine. Harlow told police he had run from the car because he thought there was a warrant out for his arrest from Marion County, Drake said.Harlow’s previous charges include an arrest in 2004 for operating while intoxicated. He was also arrested in 2005 for robbing Old National Bank, Drake said.

Kenneth Barnes.Investigators have also estimated that the man was probably in his mid-50s, Barnes said. The remains were found at noon Monday by a resident in the 5400 block of East Lampkins Ridge Road.Detectives and forensic anthropologists are searching missing person reports and talking to people in the area to try to figure out the man’s identity, which is their first priority, Barnes said.

Blatz was also wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court.Officers were dispatched at about 7:30 p.m. to the 2300 block of South Rogers Street after a fight was reported, Drake said. They found a woman who appeared to be intoxicated sitting in the driver’s seat of a gray pickup truck. Blatz’s 17-month-old son was also in the car, Drake said.Blatz told police she had been on the west side of town, where she had alcohol before driving to her sister’s house. Blatz’s sister tried to remove the child from the truck because she was concerned about the child’s safety, Drake said. Blatz began yelling at her and another woman, and the police were called.One witness described seeing Blatz driving the truck extremely slowly on Rogers Street, Drake said. The truck was up on the sidewalk, and cars were backed up behind it.Drake said Blatz’s blood alcohol content tested at .18, is more than two times the legal limit in Indiana.

Philpott started arguing with the bartender because he thought the bartender was not waiting on him well enough. Philpott took out a pocketknife and pointed it at the bartenders, Drake said.One bartender backed away and the other picked up a baseball bat and told Philpott to leave, Drake said. Philpott refused, and the bartenders had security remove him. An off-duty BPD officer nearby realized what was going on and arrested Philpott, Drake said.Philpott initially denied taking out a knife, but after surveillance tape showed him with the knife, he said he was just showing the knife to the bartender, Drake said.

In the middle were the burned remains of a small brown animal. Werner could not immediately identify the animal, but it looked like a cat or squirrel. He also could not tell if the animal had been alive at the time of the fire, Drake said.When questioned, no one else in the vicinity reported seeing any suspicious activity. When the owner had left his business the night before, he also hadn’t seen anything suspicious, Drake said.Because of the scorched area around it, a power line was likely not the cause of the animal’s death, Drake said.

Police are still investigating Hamilton’s involvement in a March 23 robbery of Members Choice Federal Credit Union on Patterson Drive.Employees of a nearby business called police Thursday morning to report seeing a black male in a blue van watching the U.S. Bank on South Curry Street through binoculars, Drake said.Detectives searched the license plate number and found it registered to Hamilton, Drake said.The van left the area before police arrived, so officers went to locate the vehicle. Detectives set up surveillance around and inside U.S. Bank, Drake said.While detectives were checking on other banks on West Third Street, Detective Kevin Hill found the van parked at a liquor store with the suspect and another male inside. The van wouldn’t start, but while Hill waited for officers to arrive, a woman came and picked up the men from the van, Drake said.Officers later stopped the car and found the two men, the woman and a small child in the car, Drake said.Both men were detained for questioning, and Hamilton was arrested at about 3 p.m., Drake said.

BPD Officer Ryan Pedigo was called to the school around 3 p.m. and brought the 17-year-old male and 15-year-old female in for public indecency, according to Pedigo’s report.School personnel had learned two students were in the restroom engaging in sexual activity. An assistant principal located the female. The male was seen running from the restroom and was found a short time later, according to the report. Both students admitted to committing the acts.This was not the first time officers were called to the school on Monday for complaints of public indecency, according to the report. At about 2:30 p.m. officers had gone to the school in response to a nearly identical case involving alleged sex acts between a different 17-year-old male student and a 16-year-old female student in a women’s restroom. A teacher had seen the male and female occupying the same stall but didn’t observe any sexual activity. Both students denied any sexual activity had taken place, according to the report.

Gehlhausen conducted a background check on Wathen and found he had a suspended license and two warrants out for his arrest. Wathen was arrested and placed in the back of the police car.Gehlhausen and Madrigal then saw Kirk, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, yelling at a woman in the back seat, Canada said. Kirk, police found, had a warrant out for parole violation and appeared to be intoxicated, Canada said. Gehlhausen tried to talk Kirk into taking a sobriety test, and Kirk became argumentative, Canada said.Kirk agreed to do part of the sobriety test and then stopped cooperating. He took off running, and when Gehlhausen caught up to him, Kirk head-butted him in the face, Canada said. After a struggle, Kirk was arrested.Officers released the female passenger, and the car was towed due to a stolen expiration sticker on the license plate, Canada said.

Jeff Canada. Sponseller declined to comment. On March 9, the Indiana Daily Student reported that officers were called at 3:16 a.m. on March 6 to East 19th Street in response to a call that a 22-year-old man had been attacked by two or three men and had been stabbed twice. The man was taken to Bloomington Hospital. Police received an anonymous tip on March 10 from someone who had not been at the scene but identified a witness, Canada said, reading from a police report. Officers began an investigation and contacted the witness, who said he had seen Sponseller that night with blood on his face and a broken knife in his hand. Sponseller told the witness he had gotten into a fight with and stabbed someone. The handle of the knife had broken off, Canada said, reading from the police report.The knife used was a Showtime Six Star steak knife, nearly three and a half inches of which stuck in the victim, Canada said, reading from the police report. Police later found the remainder of the steak knife set Sponseller allegedly hid outside of his residence and arrested Sponseller.Sponseller is currently out on bond. The victim is in good condition but still recovering from wounds, Canada said.IU Dean of Students Dick McKaig said the University typically works with the Bloomington Police Department in these cases to see if any part of the IU code has been violated. McKaig said any violations are dealt with confidentially through the University’s judicial board.
