Media was allowed to see the first 25 minutes of practice on Tuesday. Much of it was stretching and warm-ups, so I'm afraid we did not got a lot of new info about the team.
A weaker Big Ten?
Not surprisingly, IU wasn't included in the first edition of the Associated Press' Top 25. Zero quality wins in 2010 and a coaching change will do that. But the Hoosiers might not have as much ground to make up as last year because the conference seems to be down a bit.

Field hockey wins 11-2 in final preseason game
A preseason finale game against Ball State that included two 35-minute halves and one 15- minute half was supposed to be preparation for the field hockey team's 2011 regular season. Women's soccer season opener ends in 2-2 Draw
In the first half of their first game of the 2011 season, Indiana scored two goals in their game at Bill Armstrong Stadium against the Evansville Purple Aces. The Hoosiers were unable to hold off an attack by Evansville, who came back and scored two goals in the second half. After regulation time, the score stood at 2-2. Goal scorers for the Hoosiers: Orianica Velasquez and Rebecca Dreher The goal was Dreher's first of her collegiate career.

Following the Tailgate Tour event Monday evening, those attending the event as well as the media were allowed to watch the second half of the evening football practice, the longest glimpse anyone outside of the athletic department has gotten at the team.
New baseball and softball facility may be nearing approval
Athletic Director Fred Glass told reporters at the Tailgate Tour stop Thursday that a plan has been drawn up for a new baseball and softball facility that includes a location and all funding.
Week one of fall practice draws to a close
Over the first week of practice, the IU football team has gone from wearing only helmets to light padding to full padding and full contact during Sunday's practice. Head coach Kevin Wilson has seen more changes in the team than merely the amount of padding.
