Kiel, a 6-foot-4-inch, 210-pound quarterback, announced in July that he would commit to IU Coach Kevin Wilson and the Hoosier football program. At the time, the five-star quarterback from Columbus (Ind.) East chose Indiana over many of the nation's top programs such as Alabama, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, USC, Tennessee and Michigan. Kiel was IU's class of 2012's 13th commit.
